Books to movies: Most of the time people say that the movie is ruins the book, i.e Harry Potter. But on the other hand some movies keep it close to the book i.e Holes. So can a movie be made that differs from the book and still be an accurate depiction of the story?
Fate leads the willing, and drags along the reluctant. What fates impose, that men must needs abide; It boots not to resist both wind and tide. Desire nothing, Chafe not at fate, nor at Nature's changeless laws. But struggle only with the personal, the transitory, the evanescent and the perishable. Man does not control his own fate. The women in his life do that for him.

Yes, I think there can be one or more made, it's all a matter of whether the people making it are willing to spend enough braincells, time, and maybe even a little more money to make it happen. If I ever make a book that someone wants to make into a movie, I'd only sell it to them if they agree to stay with the actual story.

I think if changes are going to be made they need to confer with the author, who often had to edit something out and can use the moive to add that plot or idea.

That's a great idea! It'd let us see inside the heads of those authors and let's us know where the story might have gone in certain parts.
