Rules « Thread Started on Sept 16, 2007, 6:17pm »
I don't like them, you don't like them, but they are absolutely necessary. 1) Discussion on religion is a no-no. Politics, I have decided, will now be allowed (just so you know, at the first sign of trouble, politics will go away as well). Religion in writing is perfectly acceptable, but do not judge someone's work on its content. 3) Mild cussing is allowed. Do not abuse this privilege or go completely sailor on us, or else this rule will be broadened into no swearing at all. 4) If posting in a foreign language or 1337 (leet), provide a translation somewhere in your post. Otherwise, simply post it in English. 5) 'Txt tlking' is not allowed. It's rather hard to read and extremely unnecessary, particularly on a writing forum. 6) Please, at least two or three words to a post. That's being quite generous, really. One word posts I find rather pointless and spam-licious. Of course, the games board is the lovely exception to this rule. 7) Finally, the rules that I shouldn't have to mention but will anyway: no trolling, spamming, double-posting, cybering, one-word posts, or flaming. Opinions will not be ridiculed, nor will someone's writing. These rules transfer to the chat as well. Journal Guidelines All rules but double posting apply to the journals. Only the owner of the journal can create threads, but others may post comments if they so choose. Journals are for whatever purpose you like. They can be non-fiction, as in, they tell what happens in your daily life, or they can be fiction, or whatever. It doesn't matter. They are rooms for you to do what you like with them, because they are yours. Happy Journaling!
